While other organizations hold figure bodybuilding competitions, the rules vary from region to region. Bodybuilding’s strong, loyal, fan base are striving towards a nationally recognized medium for displaying its competition. Constantly in conjunction with fitness and regular bodybuilding competitions, one or two mainstream sports networks have carried coverage of figure bodybuilding competitions.

The limited degree of sponsorship and cash prizes available to female competitors makes bodybuilding an unreliable source of income.
