The World Firefighters Games is an internationally prominent sporting event that was found as an alternative to the World police & fire games. It was setup by an American entrepreneur and a group of international firefighters.

This was started keeping in mind the welfare of all firefighters and not just an individual. Based on this a non-profit organization called World Firefighters Games WA Inc was started which was volunteered by employees and retired staff of the fire force.

This included retired firefighters as well as full time employees of a Fire department or brigade. Spouses of eligible participate also could take part in certain event. All participants must be above 18 years of age.

These games promote health and fitness to the volunteers, provides a platform for information exchange between the members, encourages positive relationship between the firefighters and also encourages their family members to participate in the events.

The World Firefighters Games is quite like Olympics but on a much smaller level. It contests a number of events that emphasizes the role of a firefighter, and the critical and urgent nature of his work. This takes place every two years in different parts of the world. This being a non-profit organization, the profits made by the host country is donated to some charitable institutes.

This extraordinary event decides who would be the Toughest Firefighter Alive, and the winner will be crowned with this title, which is indeed an achievement.

So what to do?

*choose weights that can properly tax your muscles

Repetitions should be in the region of 6-8.Increasing muscle mass needs hard effort and demands exceeding our limits!

Throw away the 5kg dumbbells which devour your most valuable resource and grab some decent stuff!

*Exercise at least 3 times/week with total body workouts.Leave split workouts for the bodybuilders.Try to involve the biggest muscle groups.Perform only compound,multi functional exercises.

*minimize or completely eliminate the breaks trying thus to impart an aerobic character to your workouts and achieve maximum fat loss.

* perform strenuous workouts but don’t omit to allow ample recovery time to avoid the very existent danger of overtraining!
