Avoid These Mindsets And Get The Body Of Your Dreams
A lot of people have a hard time getting to the gym and starting a new workout regimen, even though they want to lose fat and build muscle. There are many different reasons for this tendency, in some cases it is laziness, not having made the correct decision or not being committed enough.
However in a lot of cases, people never get started on going to the gym because they have a lot of wrong beliefs about working out. These beliefs can hold you back when it comes to getting started on your new training regimen and finally reaching your fitness goals. In this article I am going to shed some light on some of the most common mistakes people make when it comes to having the right beliefs about training and fitness.
The number one mistake most people make is that they assume that working out is really painful. If you go to any gym you will quickly see beginners who are looking like they are getting tortured even though they are only lifting 5% of what they are able to lift. Make sure you don’t have a belief that exercising is painful, if you think that it is painful it is automatically going to feel really painful and it will quickly become easy to quit your training.
The next mistake people make is to lift so little amounts of weights that they are not even feeling it in their muscles. If you are not feeling a slightly tingling sensation in your muscles and you don’t get a nice pump you are simply wasting your time. Make sure you are pushing yourself and straining your muscles in order to lift the weights. If you are not pushing your muscles, they will have no reason to grow as they can already handle the work load you are putting on them.
The last mistake people make when it comes to hitting the gym is that they see it as a magic pill and a onetime endeavor. Most people have this fantasy in their minds of how they will work out for 3 months and get the body of their dreams. After they have their dream body they are going to stop training all together and enjoy the benefits of having a nice and muscular body. Understand that this is a lifestyle and that you are building your health and lifestyle by working out.
