Track suit, which started as a leisure wear soon gained popularity in sports. It was initially a three striped pant which slowly transformed to a plain dark coloured loose pants. These are now used specially in the gym, fitness and aerobic centres. It has become a popular sports apparel. There were zipped trouser bottoms and some times with foldings at the bottom.
The year 1970s saw track suits as a fashion apparel. It was made out of nylon fabric with glossy finish. To add style to it, designers gave narrow cuts to the jackets and pants. This soon gave way to boredom in the garment industry and the fashion world. There was a slight transformation in the use of fabric. From nylon, there was a shift to cotton fabric so that it could be used in sports and absorbs sweat. They were seen in lighter shades such as grey, light blue and other dull colours.
For joggers, there were specially designed outfits in order to provide comfort and absorb sweat at the same time. It had a special lining made out of net textile from inside. The external side consisted of polyster or nylon fabric. These were found in brighter colours to do away with the duller shades. This also made convenient for those who are not good at maintaining their apparel. Since, it is darker shades dirt would not be easily visible.
Branded sports apparel last longer as they are highly durable which will not give in easily if you stretch yourself.

While some may prefer buying a whole set of sweat suit for cricket, few others may just want to go for the sweat pants which can be worn with different shades of t-shirts or tank tees. Wind pants are those pants which have an external nylon fabric with internal cotton lining. These are made out of nylon in order to protect the wearer from mud and water. Besides this, there are special outfits meant for professional cricket players too.
Most tracksuits have a mesh interior which allows the user to wear them without any undergarment such as underwear. This is much like a bathing suit. Many people wear it for workout sessions. Garments must be chosen differently for different season. In hot weather garments should allow the wearer to stay cool. In cold weather garments should help to stay warm. In cold climates the best athletic wear should not only provide warmth but also transfer sweat away from the skin. Wind pants can help resist water and wind. This way, they can be different for varied seasons.
